Editor Christina Parker Gives Up Headlines And Deadlines For Fun And Sun – Media Town Talk – Delco News Network

She started at Town Talk in Media, straight out of high school in the 1960s, and except for a brief 9 month stint at the Delaware County Daily Times, she has spent her whole career here. Chris saw employees, publishers, reporters, photographers and headlining local news stories come and go through the years, while she remained a constant. She always told me she had a special talent of recognizing and hiring good staffers and writers, most of whom would remain loyal to Town Talk until this day. Our office walls are marked with many awards from community boards on which she served and local organizations which she helped. Through her decades as editor, Chris pulled many late nighters, mentored dozens of reporters and staffers, attended balls, luncheons, dinners and galas, meetings and other community functions. She founded Town Talks Delaware County Halloween Parade which currently attracts thousands each October, as well as the Media Arts and Crafts Fair which draws record numbers to the county seat every June.
