Phoenix Home Remodeling Company, Republic West Remodeling, Begins Community Give-Back Project for the Foundation for Blind Children – Yahoo Finance
Specialty Installations has agreed to do the appliance installation for this project. “It takes the entire village to turn this dream kitchen project into a reality,” said Jim Weisman, owner of Republic West Remodeling, a leading Phoenix home remodeling company. “Twenty one Republic West employees have agreed to actively participate in this project, many donating time outside of their normal work week to make this dream a reality. A special thanks to Steve Yeomans, a sales/designer for Republic West Remodeling, for creating the beautiful design that will be installed at the Foundation.” “The current schedule for the Foundation’s kitchen remodeling project is fairly tight,” continued Weisman. “We will begin the complete makeover on January 15, 2015 and wrap-up the week of February 2, 2015. Given the significant contributions of everyone on this team, we believe we can accomplish just about anything.” “Upon completion of this project, we all look forward to the dedication ceremony, where this kitchen facility will be formally named after our recently passed CFO, Randy Albers. Randy was in an auto accident in 1989 and was paralyzed from the waist down. Never giving in, Randy worked hard to be a productive member of society, and a valued part of the Republic West Remodeling team. The way he chose to live his life mirrors the mission, vision, and goals of the Foundation for Blind Children. We cannot think of a better way to honor Randy who is very much missed.” Founded in 1952, the foundation’s mission is to provide education, tools and services that enable all persons with vision loss to achieve greater independence. In addition, the organization strives to create a world in which vision loss is a diagnosis, not a disability. The Foundation for Blind Children is the largest non-profit blind agency in the United States serving the blind and visually impaired of all ages, from birth to currently 102 years old. In the state of Arizona, the foundation serves over 2,000 people of all ages and teaches in more than 30 Maricopa County school districts.
