The Company estimates that sales of products manufactured from the Taylor Street facility, which included some products sold outside of the North America/HME segment, were approximately $10.5 million in the second quarter of the current year compared to approximately $14.7 million in the second quarter of last year. The consent decree allowed the Company to fulfill orders and quotes that were in the Company’s order fulfillment system prior to the effective date of the consent decree, which benefited net sales results for the second quarter of 2013. Reported and organic net sales by segment and for the consolidated Company comparing the periods ended June30, 2014 to June30, 2013, are provided in a table accompanying this release. Gross margin as a percentage of net sales for the second quarter was higher by 1.3 percentage points compared to the second quarter of last year. The second quarter of 2013 gross margin reflects an incremental warranty expense as mentioned above of $3.8 million pre-tax, or 1.1 percentage points.
